3 facts about me

Katharina Pink

I am Katharina Pink, a midwife, holding a PhD in evolutionary anthropology with a specialization in "human fertility behavior", author of several scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals, course leader for HypnoBirthing classes, a yoga teacher for fertility, pre-and postnatal yoga and mom of two children.

My passion is scientific education in the areas of female sexuality & fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I am a strong advocate for individualized and woman-centered maternal care.

My passion

My work as a midwife is all about women's health. In our Western world, much of what concerns female sexuality, fertility, pregnancy, and birth is strongly pathologized. My goal is to support women* in regaining confidence in themselves and their bodies to experience self-determined and positive female fertility and sexuality, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.

My range of care includes not only the topics of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Often my care begins as early as  puberty for issues related to the female cycle.

For me, evidence-based work according to the latest scientific findings, national and international guidelines has a top priority.
